Aksaya (Sanskrit) means inexhaustible, that which never deteriorates. It is considered to be the most auspicious day to start a new venture. so even checking muhurthas is considered unnecessary. ಅಕ್ಷಯ ತೃತೀಯ ವನ್ನು ವೈಶಾಖ ಮಾಸದ (ವೈಶಾಖ ಶುಕ್ಲ ಪಕ್ಷ ತೃತೀಯ) ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನವಾದ ಹದಿನೈದು ದಿನದ ಮೂರನೇ ದಿನದಂದು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಕ್ಷಯ (ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ) ಎಂದರೆ ಅಕ್ಷಯ, ಅದು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕೆಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೊಸ ಉದ್ಯಮವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲು ಇದು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮಂಗಳಕರ ದಿನವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಮುಹೂರ್ತಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸುವುದು ಸಹ ಅನಗತ್ಯವೆಂದು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. On this very auspicious day of "Akshay Tritiya" : 1. Lord Parashurama appeared 2. River Ganges descended to Earth 3. Beginning of Treta-yuga 4. Sudama visited Krishna at Dwaraka and got blessed 5. The Pandavas received Akshaya Patra from the Sun God 6. Vyasadeva started composing Mahabharata 7. Chandan
